Product application
Neutralisation and pH Control
The active ingredient in Neutralac® SLS45 is hydrated lime, which comes as a ready-to-use suspension with low viscosity and is a viable alternative to Caustic Soda in most applications.
Heavy Metals Removal
In using Neutralac® SLS45, the incoming effluent pH is rapidly elevated to the optimum range for precipitating metals as hydroxides, in conjunction with common flocculants such as ferric Chloride, ferric Sulphate, Aluminium Sulphate (Alum) and Poly Aluminium Chloride. Typical treatments include the removal of the following heavy metals by precipitation; Cadmium, Copper, Mercury, Nickel, Lead, Zinc, Cobalt and Iron as insoluble metal hydroxides, in addition some metals can be removed in a single stage by Neutralac SLS45’s co-precipitation effect.
Fluoride and Phosphate Removal
The high concentration of hydrated lime in Neutralac® SLS45 supplies large amounts of calcium and hydroxide ions to the effluent being treated, and together these act as powerful ion precipitators.
Food and dairy effluents
Neutralac® SLS45 has proven itself as a highly effective liquid lime that is safer and superior to other alkali reagents.
